With increasingly unreliable and costly Eskom Power there is an increasing demand for domestic generators…. that need to be environmentally friendly and comply with various legal, neighbourhood/estate/complex etc. regulations; especially noise and pollution related, but often also requiring exhausts to be piped through difficult spaces.

Teraco Data Centres - 2450KVA Mitsubishi genset exhaust system

In keeping with its world-class data centre infrastructure, Ruspet Exhausts provides an integral service to Teraco Data Centres. The gallery picture shows the external exhaust pipes of the Bredell installation. Ruspet has completed 5 installations, and is currently installing ten 304 Stainless Steel exhaust systems per 2200KVA set in Cape Town and a further ten 2450KVA 304 Stainless Steel exhaust systems per 2450KVA set in Isando. An additional ten generators are planned for installation in Cape Town, and a further 12 in Isando. The total of forty-four sets will have a capacity of generating 80 MW of off-grid power!

Ruspet has supplied and installed the chimney at the new mega bakery currently under construction by the well know international frozen Pizza supplier.

Riding on the success, and credibility gained from the large-scale exhaust muffler project with Transnet diesel locomotive fleet, Ruspet has had confirmation for the upgrading of Transnet’s Port Truck fleets. Ruspet exhaust systems will be custom designed and fitted to Transnet truck specifications. These specs will include high grade 316 Stainless Steel to withstand the extreme harbour related corrosion conditions. Based on the success of initial installations, the plan is to roll out the exhaust system upgrades to all South African ports.
